Johnson Matthey is looking for a Senior Audit Manager to join our Corporate business unit. We are conveniently located in Wayne PA, about 30 minutes outside Center City Philadelphia.

Responsibilities include: Identify, prioritize, assess and mitigate the risks facing the organisation; Co-ordinate assurance activities throughout the organization in order to identify any gaps, minimise duplication and promote alignment; Provide independent assurance that the right activities are in place to mitigate identified risks.

Specific functions include:
  • Setting goals and objectives for Internal Audit
  • Identifying areas of risk and core processes for inclusion in the plan
  • Co-ordinating selected areas of audit activity
  • Understanding the drivers and risks affecting the business
  • Delivering the audit plan
  • Ensuring risks are identified, understood, assessed, managed and reported by the business

Qualifications/Experience Necessary

  • Recognized local/international finance or audit qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/IIA)
  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience
  • At least four years’ experience in an internal audit environment, within a professional services environment or in industry
  • Experience in risk based auditing across a range of processes using the latest audit methodologies and techniques
  • Strong Microsoft Office (or equivalent) skills
  • Required to travel or to work from different locations, domestic and international, for up to three weeks at a time

  • Qualifications/Experience Desirable

  • A second language
  • Business or audit knowledge of IT or systems (particularly SAP, JDE, SCADA manufacturing systems and Sharepoint)
  • Experience gained working in a complex manufacturing, large multinational or complex structured environment (audit or otherwise)
  • Risk management experience (including assessment, management, reporting on risk matters or facilitating risk discussions)
  • Experience in using computer based auditing tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of fraud or forensic investigations
  • Project management or assurance experience
