JOB TITLE: Senior Audtior II
SALARY RANGE: Min. $59,924 Mid. $74,905
DEPT/DIV: Audit Services
SUPERVISOR: Director, Audit
HOURS OF WORK: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (7 hours)
*Must be able and willing to work and travel throughout the MTA service area. This position is subject to financial disclosure.

Summary

Conduct and supervise audits of moderate to high complexity and develop recommendations that incorporate good business judgment and skills. Has a professional working relationship with clients, fully understands client business operations.

Responsibilities

*Supervise and/or conduct detailed audits analyses, and reviews of business operations.
*Exercise independent judgment on work assignments.
*Determine the extent of required audit testing, and projection of man-days required to complete audits.
*Fully understands MTA policy and practice on audits, is able to fully communicate such procedures to others, and may assist others in such matters in the department.
*Prepare audit programs and suggest changes to such during the course of review, to ensure objectives of audits are achieved.
*Prepare and/or review workpapers to insure conclusions reached are supported by sufficient evidential data.
*Prepare audit reports and/or written material based on detailed analysis.
*Participate, conduct and/or supervise special projects as needed.
*Supports, the department in whatever manner necessary for it to meet its business objectives.

Qualifications

*Expected to demonstrate independent and professional judgment.
*Understanding of the PeopleSoft Environments
*Position requires leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate self development by learning client business functions and by developing and maintaining professional client work relationships.
*Good understanding of operational controls, and business processes.
*Track record of identifying /recommending cost saving in the technology area.

Education and Experience

*Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Auditing, Computer Science, or related business/operational field.
*Certification desired (CIA, CISA, CPA)
* Graduate degree in business-related areas also desired.
* Approximately four years experience in operational or technology auditing.
* Experience with automated workpapers, audit software and Microsoft Office.
