The North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking a Senior Auditor in the Administration department. This position performs oversight and evaluation including compliance monitoring and reviews. These reviews are to ensure compliance with governing federal and state laws, regulations and other federal and state contractual requirements.
Position will also be responsible for planning and performing compliance monitoring by reviewing identified activities and subcontractors, analyzing financial records, conducting desk reviews, providing field audits and coordinating audit activities and other related work.
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely related field of study. Knowledge of proper workpaper technique and referencing is essential along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Position will take a proactive role in assigned projects by ensuring tasks are completed within budget and established deadlines.
Position requires 3-5 years of auditing experience. Public Accounting and internal auditing experience is a plus along with knowledge of TeamMate auditing software, Blueworks Live, and ACL.
