The role of Senior Benefits Personnel works with limited supervision and reports to the Director of Benefits in American Apparel Headquarters. The role provides complex benefit services to all levels of American Apparel, along with typical administrative duties associated with all benefit products offered, in a very service oriented culture. The Senior Benefits Personnel works with our employees and vendors on benefit policy inquiries.
Must be seasoned in:
Assisting with review and revision of plan documents related to assigned programs
Assist in organizing and prioritizing workload to meet project deadlines.
High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and ADP systems.
Hands-on experience with self-insured benefits administration and a solid understanding of benefit plan design, policy and contracts.
Preferred carrier experience.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently as well as an effective member of a team.
Must be proactive and flexible.
Bilingual English/Mandarin a plus.
