In this position, the ideal candidate will take the lead in statistical programming activities for a clinical development program or multiple clinical studies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Involvement in programming, validation, technical support, and training.
Guide the development and implementation of a complete SAS programming environment.
Work closely with statisticians in development of method of analysis and QC of clinical results.
Work with CRO data management and statistical programmers on outsourced work.
Direct the creation of programming strategies and SAS code for applications designed to analyze data as specified by clinical and BDM staff.
The incumbent will also apply expert skills in writing SAS code to produce listing, tables, figures and oversee the development of a SAS programming structure and environment for regulatory submissions.
The incumbent will actively promote safety rules and awareness, will demonstrate good safety practices at all times, and take initiative to correct safety hazards. Additionally, the incumbent will actively demonstrate and promote the Lantheus values of accountability, communication, customer commitment, entrepreneurial spirit, integrity, safety and teamwork.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field and at least 7 years of SAS and relevant pharmaceutical-industry experience, or a Master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience. Applicants must possess substantial knowledge related to statistical programming in the pharmaceutical industry, excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent strategic planning and presentation skills. Proficient in all technical aspects of programming, various modules of SAS programming needed for clinical data analysis. Regular interaction with Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Data Management, Medical Affairs and Project Management. Must be able to handle multiple demands and shifting priorities.
