The Brand Engagement team at MWV provides critical strategic direction and thought leadership across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to drive brand value for our highest value customers through packaging. MWV is expanding its Brand Engagement team with the addition of a creative, consumer-focused brand strategist with a strong background in brand development, marketing, advertising and/or design. HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV
Brand Engagement Senior Managers are aligned with one or more SBUs as key strategic business partners and will work closely with those SBUs to align brand, consumer, and business needs through creative strategy resulting in innovative, relevant and executable package solutions that deliver on key account goals.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the strategic creative vision, development and execution of multiple projects, including final customer presentations Convert brand, consumer and market insight into clear, focused strategic direction to influence both tactical and strategic business decisions and guide the package innovation process Develop and deliver packaging brand strategies to sell-in and position packaging solutions and package platforms in a way that resonates with key customer stakeholders and delivers on business objectives Engage with our highest value customers in a business development context, showcasing our differentiated capabilities through compelling value proposition development that positions MWV as a strategic partner Represent Brand Engagement internally as well as externally; including strategic functional leadership for one or more SBUs WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Successful candidates will be dynamic, creative and self-directed critical thinkers. This position requires high levels of flexibility, multi-tasking and business acumen.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design or related field is required; Advanced degree is a plus, but not required Minimum of 7-10 years marketing experience, with a particular focus on consumer brands within an agency or consumer products company Exceptional communication, interpersonal and team-oriented skills Ability to work effectively with people from various functional areas with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and approaches; adaptable across a variety of organizational cultures and business situations Propensity to act with a sense of urgency, take ownership of work and accept full accountability for commercial results Strong management and implementation experience interfacing with a team of designers Experience with consumer research methods and analyzing resulting data Ability and willingness to guide the professional development of junior Brand Engagement team members Consumer packaging experience is a plus, but not required This position will require approximately 20–30% travel
