Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq is currently seeking a full-time Senior Building Engineer to service an office building in Virginia, MN.

DUTIES

This position will be responsible for overseeing all building services and mechanical systems servicing a 65,000 square foot office building. Primary duties include maintaining building mechanical systems (heating and cooling) in excellent condition by performing preventative maintenance tasks, responding to general service requests and performing light maintenance duties. This position will also oversee the general maintenance of the property and vendors contracted to deliver the services.

Routine mechanical HVAC related repairs and maintenance
Conducts routine equipment examinations and maintains detailed preventative maintenance records as directed
Operation and maintenance of both heat pump and VAV systems
Testing and maintenance of property life safety systems, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, and emergency generators
Perform repairs of plumbing, lighting, doors, hardware, light electrical, and other duties as assigned
Coordination of internal and external maintenace of the facility and grounds

QUALIFICATIONS

High School education; plus at least 1 year Vo-Tech education
Special education courses in maintenance of heating and cooling equipment required
4-6 years of commercial experience as a building engineer or associated trade
SMA (BOMA) certification preferred
Class C Boiler License required
Strong human relation skills in order to interact positively with a wide range of people
Basic computer familiarity
Very strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
Ability to work in a team environment
