This posting is for a Senior Business Analyst Associate position in the Illustrations area. The Illustrations area is responsible for supporting our marketing efforts by providing tools and output that estimate how our life insurance policies may perform in the future. This is a critical function for both the sales and support of our life insurance policies.
The person in this position will be responsible for producing custom in-force illustrations for most/all life insurance contracts for clients, agents, brokers, field management, and other internal business units. This will include analyzing illustration numbers, formats and systems for accuracy. This candidate will also support other associates with illustration alternatives and explanations.
The incumbent will:
Work under general direction of more senior staff.
Research and illustrate cases involving more complex contract plans and illustration concepts.
Accomplish the required tasks to meet individual daily goals. Must maintain productivity consistent with established standards for this job grade.
Manage own queue count and aging of cases.
Achieve a high level of quality in the illustrations produced.
Test new software/illustration systems and make recommendations for enhancements and changes.
As experience is gained, may perform Quality Review and/or training of other associates.
Perform some oversight responsibilities.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills - ability to apply facts and present solutions for in-force policies.
Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of life insurance products rules and calculations.
Utilizes financial knowledge to analyze illustration numbers.
Basic knowledge of policy administrative systems and a more advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Uses a variety of sources of information to keep up-to-date and spot trends.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Provide timely, accurate and complete information in a clear and concise manner.
High level of commitment to customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize work on a daily basis with a high degree of flexibility.
Must be able to interpret more complex technical and contractual information.
Strong attention to detail, due dates, and deadlines.
Self-motivated and proactive; displays a sense of urgency.
Previous illustration system or post issue calculation experience a plus.
