World leading software vendor seeking knowledgeable CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) Senior Business Analyst - must have knowledge or experience in commodities such as; agriculture, sugar, cocoa, sand, minerals, energy, oil, gas, power, coals and metals - must understand the full trading life cycle
At Harrington Starr we are currently working with the world leader in software application (risk management, scheduling, logistics and trading) provision to the CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) and commodities trading industry crossing a number of financially and physically traded products (sugar, cocoa, oil, gas, power, coal, metals, ags, freight).
Their bespoke solutions are used in a range of trading organisations including energy & utilities companies, trading houses and investment banks.
The successful candidate for the CTRM senior business analyst/consultant (Commodities, Agriculture, Sugar, Cocoa, Software) role will gain invaluable industry knowledge across the CTRM and commodities trading industry as well as gaining significant specific software knowledge.
The key duties for the CTRM senior business analyst/consultant (Commodities, Agriculture, Sugar, Cocoa, Software) will involve:
Working in team environment focused on internal R&D or customer driven project work Documenting business requirements and translating into functional software specification Working with software engineering group to translate functional specification into technical development plans Writing test plans/cases/scripts and documenting acceptance test results Providing time estimates for various work products Interfacing with project management, development, technical support, and sales personnel as needed Assisting in customer implementation and acceptance testing as requested Training customers and other staff members in new features as required Documenting system modules and features for training and user manuals Supporting Sales engagements with subject matter expertise as required The ideal CTRM senior business analyst/consultant (Commodities, Agriculture, Sugar, Cocoa, Software) candidate should have definitive experience (min 5 years) and knowledge of:
Global Commodity Markets (CTRM) - FO/MO/BO, Physical and Derivative Exchange/OTC Trading Concepts, Deal Capture, Pricing, Process Automation, Marking-to-Market, Scheduling, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Analytics Extensive Knowledge of Physical Contracts Management and Transport/Storage/Processes is an advantage Exposure to various trade instruments (Physical, Swaps, Futures, Options, etc.) Basic Accounting Principles Software development life cycle and QA processes Documentation of business requirements, analyses, and functional software specification Competency with configuration management and issue tracking software (StarTeam experience preferable) Operating system, development, database technologies and hardware architectures
