Requirements Planning Functions:
- Analyzes and identifies moderately complex and competing business requirements across business functions
- Ensures requirements are fully scoped
- Drives prioritization of project requirements
- Develops requirements plans and schedules
- Identifies subject matter expert resource projects
- Liaison between the business and technical teams to articulate business needs and system capabilities
- Consults with teams and business leaders to collect business requirements
- Publishes, distributes, and ensures sign-off of the business requirement documents
- Communicates with business partners using data and process models to clarify and validate requirements
- Writes project documents (business cases, requirements, test cases, and cost benefits)
- Develops business data requirements in the form of business and data models (leveraging Visio to document workflows)
- Assists with developing and implementing change plans
- Participates in the creation of training plans to implement new skills
- Manages changes to baseline requirements in order to meet project goals and deadlines
Process Reengineering:
- Drives workflow analysis and other business process analysis to identify and clarify requirements
- Conducts business process management analysis to meet business needs
- Conducts current and future gap analysis
- Evaluates organization and stakeholder change readiness
- Identifies, manages, and recommends business process management improvements
Business Case Development:
- Interprets meaning and implications of business metrics, data and reports to achieve project goals
- Calculates and interprets key business metrics (e.g., NPV, ROI) for review with project team
- Gathers information to support the project team with interpreting financial tools and reports (profit and loss, CBA, etc.)
- Develops business benefits realization measures of business cases, with guidance when necessary
