Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees. Duties may be generally described as: planning, assigning, coordinating, directing, scheduling, evaluating, verifying, training, and processing of information. A thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and methods for the area of responsibility is required. Initiative and independent judgments are frequently exercised in formulating procedures or methods, and in program coordination. Work is performed under general supervision within University policies and procedures. Job performance is based upon overall operation effectiveness.
Provides daily administrative and clerical support to the CME Director to include but not limited to drafting and typing correspondence, handling messages, departmental operational tasks and departmental reports. Develops and maintains administrative files to include fiscal files, and CME event files. Assists in the planning, development and implementation of CME events to include but not limited to preparation of CME applications, logistics and preparation of final reports. Reconciles accounts on monthly basis and prepares report for Lead Analyst and Director to review. Manages the Director’s daily calendar as well as the CME departmental monthly event calendar. Schedules and takes minutes at a variety of administrative meetings and conference planning meetings. Perform accounting function for conference management. Receive payments by cash, check, credit card, internal transfer for any CME events. Other duties as assigned by the CME Director or Lead Analyst which may require to meet the departmental institutional needs.
A minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent. Three years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.
