Provide expertise and perform report configuration, development, and design to supplement staff on the EMR Reporting team.
Analyze, configure, document and test Epic Clarity and Chronicles reports.
Creation of complex operational and project-related reports including design, documentation, development, testing, implementation and ongoing support using Reporting Workbench, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects Enterprise.
Analysis, design, documentation, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Reporting user interfaces including alerts, prompts, screens, dashboards and templates.
Participate in meetings with stakeholders from physician groups, nursing, ED, OB, hospital service departments, information systems, clinic operations, management, executive leadership and reporting. Document main points, issues and key decisions.
Validate system build/reports design and output with key stakeholders.
Ensure test scenarios are adequately documented and perform testing as needed.
Provide documentation and training to transfer knowledge and operational support to the EMR Reporting team.
OptumInsight prefers candidates to have Epic Certification(s) and hands-on experience in more than one of the following areas: strategic planning and development, workflow analysis, process redesign, project management, design, build, test/validation, interface design/implementation.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree preferred
Epic Clarity Certification and experience with Epic's Clarity data model.
Extensive experience designing, creating, testing, and implementing complex reports using Crystal Reports or Business Objects Enterprise reporting tools.
Extensive experience with clinical reporting or financial reporting,
Knowledge of data warehouses, data stores, or data marts, and experience using SQL query techniques to access relational databases.
Experience developing a test plan and executing test scenarios to validate data in reports.
Knowledge of Epic utilities for reports creation and maintenance, including ability to determine source data.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment, problem solve and develop solutions. Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to translate user requirements into functional & design specifications.
