The Business Systems area of PFS is responsible for day to day systems maintenance including parameter and table maintenance, regulatory change implementation, issue identification, and user support of various software applications on a variety of platforms. Helps coordinate the daily activities and operations of all business systems utilized in Patient Financial Services (PFS). Assists the Information Technology department in all system changes, including implementations and upgrades. Coordinates with Business Systems Analysts that support key systems within PFS to ensure all systems are functional and available to users. The PFS services supported include pre-billing, billing, follow up, customer service, cash and adjustment posting, managed care tracking and reporting, and denial logging.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :
High school graduate or equivalent required. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in computer science, business, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years MedSeries4 AR application related work experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Minimum 2 years Patient Accounting and/or Admitting experience within the last 5 years in an acute care setting, preferably in a multi-hospital environment.
Minimum 5 years IT related work experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Expertise in a variety of software applications and platforms in a business office setting.
Able to learn new software applications and/or programs as needed.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, AS400 aplications, and database management.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Experience in system analyst activities including structured design, testing and documentation. Experience in training, developing training plans and procedure writing. Experience in functional areas as a user. Clear evidence of being able to manage multiple projects in a complex environment. Ability to work as a member of high performance teams, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
