Senior Business Systems Analyst Solazyme -

As a member of the IT team, the candidate is a key resource for delivering technology solutions to address business requirements. You will be focused on internal customer support and initiatives addressing the needs of the Finance & Operations. You will work with business teams to analyze systems and process requirements to meet their goals.
Solazyme is a renewable oil production firm. We are the leader in algal biotechnology, harnessing the power of microalgae to renewably produce clean and scalable fuels, chemicals, and food oils and health and wellness materials.
This is a functional role with some technical knowledge required.
Major Responsibilities
Act as a key liaison to Finance and Operations teams
Participate in the planning, execution, and deployment of business systems and processes
Define and optimize effective business processes, while minimizing customization within new and existing business applications
Analyze complex business problems, assess alternatives, and recommend scalable solutions that balance customer needs, business constraints, and technology realities
Document business requirements and perform gap analysis
Prepare functional designs and configure applications to meet business requirements
Communicate functional requirements to developers and assist with unit testing
Develop appropriate test cases and manage test cycles
Promote adoption and positive user experiences by preparing training materials and delivering training sessions
Provide hands-on application support, managing and resolving user service requests
Work closely with the technical team to solve application issues
Translate functional designs into technical deliverables
Create ad-hoc reports, queries, or data extracts, as necessary
Finance SME with deep understanding and working knowledge of at least two of these business processes: Quote to Cash, Record to Report, Procure to Pay, and Plan to Fulfill
Serve as primary point of contact for Oracle EBS issues and enhancement requests

Ability to manage and prioritize projects as needed to ensure success
History of supporting complex business systems in a 24x7 environment
History of success in fast-paced, rapidly growing startup environment
Willingness to work in a 24x7 setting and support after-hours activities when necessary
Requirements
5+ years IT experience
5+ years functional experience, preferably at a global manufacturing company
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of Finance and Operations processes including project delivery
Specific experience with Oracle Release 12 – Financials (GL, AR, AP, FA, Purchasing, iProcurement), Order Management/Shipping & OPM
Experience in applying technology solutions to addressing business problems
Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and related methodologies
Knowledge of project management fundamentals
Ability to lead functional and technical resources and manage consultant workloads & priorities
Working knowledge of Oracle relational databases, PL/SQL, and reporting tools
Experience in successfully resolving service requests with software vendors
Ability to understand high-level business strategy and objectives and drive down to key enabling factors such as systems and business process requirements
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project
Knowledge of Process Manufacturing processes a plus
Ability to build end user support documentation
