TASC is currently seeking an experienced manager to help lead our Fed/Civ Business Unit.

The Business Unit Business Manager will be responsible for all business and financial functions and deliverables for the Federal Civil Business Unit in the Civil and Infrastructure Security Group (CISG). The position will report to the Vice President of Finance for CISG. The successful candidate must have proven experience in financial planning and analysis, project planning and control, variance analysis, staff management experience and a strong background in Federal procurement. Responsibilities include: preparation of financial internal/external reports (Annual Operating Plan, Waterfalls, Indicated Finals, EACs/ETCs), indirect expense and rate management, continuous process improvement, charging practice determinations, review and approval authority and other responsibilities as required. The candidate must also have experience with large proposals, including pricing, price strategy and proposal development. Candidate will ensure compliance with all TASC policies, internal controls and disclosed practices. This person will lead a team of finance and program control professionals and will be responsible for related staffing, performance management and professional development activities as required. Working closely with program management and the business unit vice president, the BU Business Manager will assist in determining financial metrics for all programs, measure/monitor performance against those metrics and manage all related reporting requirements

Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications:
15 years of progressive management experience with personnel management and profit/loss responsibilities

BS in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations Research or related field

Masters Degree or MBA preferred but not required

Extensive knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government and commercial contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles.

Experience with the highest levels of financial analysis.

Must be able to resolve the most complex and strategic contracts and pricing issues.

Proven professional and managerial skills

Must be able to advise and interact with the highest levels of management.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and negotiation skills.
