The responsibilities of the Senior Claims Analyst will include:

  • Develop and execute Construction Claims Service strategies and programs in the California Region.
  • Market and promote construction claims services, management of projects, financial planning, and control.
  • Establish and maintain professional business relations with clients.
  • Lead a team in the analysis or preparation of a complex construction claims, being responsible for the end deliverable to the client, whether it be a report, presentation or expert testimony.
  • Experience with Heavy Highway or building construction, and a strong construction background on large, complex projects is highly preferred. An intuitive knowledge and ability to quickly understand principals of construction and contractor means and methods is necessary.
  • Management experience, along with extensive experience in Project Controls, CPM scheduling, delay analysis, productivity analysis, claims and dispute resolution, Earned Value analysis and trending, construction contracting, planning, staffing, budget management, and resource allocation required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications and organizational skills are a must. The successful candidate must interface effectively with clients, coworkers, and others.

In the PMCM (Program & Construction Management) Division of ARCADIS, our primary business is construction consulting; assisting owners with the management of their projects from conception to occupancy. As a recognized leader in evaluating and successfully resolving complex construction issues and disputes, one of our greatest strengths is resolving construction-related problems before they escalate into much larger matters. This is the specialty of our Construction Claims Consultants; they provide dispute prevention, dispute mitigation and dispute resolution to help clients through each phase of their project.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum years of experience: 10 years of relevant experience
  • Education required: BSCE or similar
  • Registrations/Certifications required: P.E. License, Licensed Architect, JD, CCM, or similar
  • Skills required: Experience leading a team in the analysis and/or preparation of a complex construction claim, being responsible for the end deliverable to the client, whether it be a report, presentation or expert testimony. Extensive experience in Project Controls, CPM scheduling, delay analysis, productivity analysis, claims and dispute resolution, Earned Value analysis and trending, construction contracting, planning, staffing, budget management, and resource allocation. Experience with P3 or P6.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Years of experience preferred: 15 years of relevant experience
  • Skills preferred: Qualified as an expert.
  • This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does not manage others.
