Summary of Job Description
The Senior Commission Analyst will work directly with Sales Management, Sales Operations, and Finance/Accounting in order to ensure that Mandiant’s incentive commission plans are implemented correctly and commissions are paid accurately. The primary responsibility is the calculation of monthly incentive commissions for all Sales employees focusing on accuracy, completeness and consistency as defined in the commission plans. The ideal candidate is analytical, deadline-driven, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work directly with front line Managers, Directors, and Executive level customers to resolve commission discrepancies and data anomalies
Distribute commission related reports to management and Sales personnel via NetSuite and/or manual reporting
Report on sales and business operations statistics; support ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
Assist with month-end close financial reporting and analysis
Assist with internal process improvement initiatives
Use knowledge from working with the field, analyze data, and partner with peer groups to suggest and implement improvements to the delivery of compensation to our Sales Team
Participate in the development and testing of processes that impact commissions
Maintain the highest level of customer service, eliminate waste, and drive continuous process improvement
Provide backup support to payroll and assist with equity compensation administration
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to organize and synthesize large volumes of detailed information and tailor to required audience
Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
Ability to work under pressure and deliver against tight deadlines with complete accuracy
Self-starter with ability to work independently while remaining a team player with a positive attitude and focus on business issues
BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or other related field
5+ years’ business experience, with proven expertise working within a sales commission role
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Prior experience in business application software; working knowledge of Cognos, Salesforce, and/or NetSuite strongly preferred
