The Senior Compensation Analyst is a part of the new Compensation Center of Expertise (COE) organization and primarily partners with a Compensation Consultant to provide compensation support to Specialty Health. Position applies in-depth knowledge of compensation and data to provide analytic insight to inform compensation-related decisions and programs; reports to Director, Compensation Analysis.
Provide analytical compensation support Compensation teams by:
> Performing market pricing analyses
> Participate in salary surveys and other benchmarking data sources
Provide data and insight to and collaborate with Compensation Consultant to conduct job evaluations (with capability to determine FLSA exemption) and grade classifications to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness of compensation programs. May recommend solutions.
Develop and administer incentive plans; influencing owners to drive appropriate compensation initiatives.
Consult with and provide advice to HR Business Partners regarding compensation related data sources and analyses that might answer complex compensation related issues or concerns.
Conducts rigorous analysis of multiple and complex data sources to create various compensation models. Scenarios may include predictive analytics to identify future trends and risk. Ability to articulate observations and recommendations to various audiences, especially executive leaders.
Generates and designs reports and tools to use in compensation-related analytics and dashboards.
Update and maintain foundational compensation structures (job codes, grades, and salary structures) for U.S. Oncology Practices; develop and maintain content (e.g., communications) on company intranet
Develops and administers multiple large scale projects including the Practice bonus and benchmarking analysis for the Network from start to finish including planning, communication, calculations, costing and collaboration with HR practitioners
Lead projects and provide guidance and expertise to other Compensation Analysts
Minimum 5+ years experience in Compensation and exhibited expertise in 1 or 2 Compensation practice areas (e.g., equity, executive, base pay, variable/sales programs). Experience leading compensation projects (such as benchmarking studies and focal reviews).
Requires thorough compensation knowledge and experience.
Strong quantitative analysis skills with ability to communicate findings in a clear, concise manner
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, market practices and business plan; receives oversight and direction from Manager.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable and unidentifiable factors.
Possesses business acumen on HR matters, ability to influence, interact and work effectively across Total Rewards COE and other related functions, e.g. Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Compensation Consultants, and external vendors.
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve delivery of services.
Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions or create new solutions.
Experience with tools for administration of broad-based annual compensation cycle decision support.
Generally works independently; receives minimal guidance on day-to-day work and deliverables.
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
