The Senior Compensation Analyst acts as an internal consultant to conduct data reporting, compensation analysis and make recommendations for facilitation of compensation programs or solutions to business issues. The Senior Compensation Analyst will support global compensation program design, implementation and administration. The position will report to the Senior Compensation Manager and will be a key member of the Compensation Center of Excellence (COE) team. The individual assuming this role will work with regional HR teams to align on compensation programs to achieve enterprise-wide business goals as well as local business priorities.
Participate in the innovative design, implementation and administration of compensation programs and initiatives which include base and variable pay programs.
Develop strong relationships with the HR team and Compensation Center of Excellence team, and provide business solutions to HR business partners through the interpretation of compensation practices and programs, data analysis and training.
Support annual compensation planning cycle including preparing and testing data, and providing analysis, guidance and technical support throughout the process. Ensures salary actions are implemented as planned and approved.
Serve as a “super-user” of compensation tools such as the Market Pricing System (MarketPay), Oracle HRMS and Global Compensation Management System (SumTotal).
Special projects/requests assigned as needed to support executive and/or global compensation or other HR initiatives.
Ensure all compensation programs and practices remain in compliance with regulatory requirements
Seek to continuously improve link between pay and performance through program improvement and communication/education
Conduct research, analyze data and identify trends requiring a broad understanding of compensation techniques, methods, and practices and recommend business solutions
Perform ad-hoc analysis and planning to continuously improve local compensation programs and processes
Participate in compensation surveys
Develop compensation and reward communications and education for HR and management
Other duties as assigned or required, may work on executive compensation or enterprise wide compensation projects.
BA/BS degree or equivalent in HR, Information Systems, or Business Administration
Minimum 6 years of related experience in a compensation/rewards role
CCP preferred (or progress toward either designation)
Experience in Fortune 500 company or management consulting firm desirable; experience with global compensation/rewards programs.
Advanced Excel and Intermediate PowerPoint required
Knowledge of Oracle HR (or comparable software), online market pricing tool, and online compensation planning tool preferred
Ability to create automated tools and/or models to enhance analysis in support of compensation program design
Highly effective data management skills
Strong analytical, organization and interpersonal skills; the ability to interpret data and report on it in a clear concise way
Strong relationship building, verbal and written communication skills
Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrate strong initiative and exercise good judgment and resourcefulness
Possess excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks, adapt to shifting/multiple priorities and deadlines, the maturity to handle sensitive information and manipulate large data sets while maintaining data integrity
Technical expertise and ability to apply logic, problem solve and deliver results on complex data analysis
