Job Description
: * * Minimum 5 to 10 years brownfield production facility and gathering station I&C, electrical, and fire and gas commissioning experience * Familiar with fire and gas safety systems * Familiar with hot cutovers of safety control systems (I&C and Fire & Gas) * Familiar with Honeywell Safety Manager * Ability to develop and to review/redline existing project execution procedures (electrical isolation, hot cutovers, installation) * Ability to interpret and understand electrical and piping schematics * Willingness to travel and work in extreme weather conditions (North Slope) * Knowledge of the BP Guidance of Certification (GOC) *

Manages completions activities of major projects to provide planning, support and leadership for commissioning facilities, beginning at project conception (Pre-FEED) and continuing through FEED, Detailed Design, Construction, Startup and Turnover. Applies an extensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during construction as well as the methods and techniques to be utilized for installation, functional checkout and testing. Becomes thoroughly familiar with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected and has extensive experience managing and tracking the completions process with software applications. *

  • Develop systems completion costs and schedules for each project

    Determine engineering deliverables for completions

    Define system boundaries on all relevant LOSH drawings

    Develop system registers

    Prepare engineering registers for completions database templates

    Write systems completion narrative for Project Execution Plan

    Prepare documents and drawings for upload into systems completion database

    Participate in weekly multi-discipline meetings with engineering disciplines

    Assemble and maintain Systems Completion Packages (SCP's)

    Develop signature responsibility matrix for check and test sheets to be used for construction and pre-commissioning activities

    Complete inspection release notifications for FAT's and SAT's

    Coordinate all completion activities with BP North Slope Commissioning team

    Determine completions deliverables to the commissioning team

    Establishes and maintains strong job and community relations.

    Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

  • Job Requirements
    • : *

      BA/BS degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent or relevant experience. Generally 10+ years experience in field with commissioning as a commissioning or completions manager; Typically 7+ years supervisory and/or management experience; Manages work directly or indirectly through Managers.

      Minimum 2 yrs North Slope completions experience required, including experience working in and around Flow Stations and Gather Centers.

      Manages multiple, related functional disciplines or a single highly specialized complex function; Develops and implements strategic programs and policies for their functional group, which will have impact on the overall organization; Complex project management capabilities; Works with executive management on significant matters influencing the organization’s business results, which may or may not include global strategies;

      Ability to visualize and design new concepts and ideas related to functional area of expertise; Broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and sometimes lead organizational change effectively; Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general information.

      The ability to effectively communicate and present complex program proposals and reports to executive level management is critical. Ability to persuade and influence others is critical. Participative management style with a cooperative team approach. Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural and possibly multi-national environments. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
