CustomWare is looking for a Consultant with strong technical skills and customer-facing experience to join our rapidly growing team. Our consultants work directly with customers both onsite (mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area) and remotely with customers around the world. Projects include best practices workshops, implementations, migrations, integrations and much more. As the newest members of our team, you will have:
Love for delighting and helping customers.
Experience with technical consulting and working with external customers. If you do not have previous consulting experience, you will not be considered for this role at this time.
Ability to clearly communicate, lead project teams and run meetings.
Passion for learning new technologies and exploring their potential uses and benefits.
Learning speed in picking up new software platforms and feel challenged by the idea of becoming an expert with new tools.
Flexibility. Our customers are growing and changing rapidly, as are the technologies we work with. You must be able to navigate change well, and thrive on the fact that no two days will be the same.
Strong writing skills. You will communicate with customers and the internal teams around the world via email, blog, wiki, etc. and it is critical that you can be clear, concise and impactful.
Leadership and project management. You have the ability to lead projects and focus on customer needs while still maintaining profitability. Our consultants do work with project managers on most projects, but consultants are responsible for contributing to guiding and driving projects forward.
U.S. citizenship or the ability to legally work in the U.S. for at least the next two years. We are not sponsoring visas at this time.
It would be great if you also have:
Experience with the Zendesk, Atlassian, Box or GoodData product suites.
Experience working with international teams and customers.
You will be responsible for:
Discussing requirements with colleagues.
Discussing customer requirements with customers onsite, and justifying your recommendations.
Summarizing the choices and recommendations for both customers and colleagues.
Implementation of chosen approaches for JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian tools.
Demonstration of implemented work to customers.
Support of customers via email and phone as part of consulting engagements.
Taking part in sessions to schedule future work.
Assisting Sales with Presales discussions and estimates.
