Proficient with basic functionality of office automation products such as Microsoft Office, email, Internet.

Programming experience with report writing software (e.g. Business Objects, Crystal Reports) or 3rd, 4th generation languages (e.g. Visual Basis, C++, Java)

Familiarity with production management and utility software package (e.g. report distribution)

Developed expertise in at least one mainstream VMS software application (e.g. Fieldglass, Beeline) including database, reporting, ability to resolve complex issues.

Ability to train others in the conversion and use of VMS software

Understands the interface between VMS and /or external applications and can interpret the business or financial impact (i.e. uploading or downloading data from G/L in budget templates)

Developed expertise in specific reporting modules of multiple VMS systems

Project Management

Develops project workplan and assigns completion dates by task; ideally utilizing MS-Project

Recognizes and communicates changes in scope

Revises plans accordingly to accommodate scope changes

Manages the work of small teams to completion on a timely basis

Forms or evaluates recommended solutions to issues raised by the team; works with the client (and team) to resolve

Facilitates client meetings

Readily assumes responsibility for all project deliverables and outcomes

Exhibits knowledge of complex functionality of office automation products such as links, macros, tables and interconnectivity of tools

Proficient at basic functionality with advanced tools such as iGrafx

Experience with all facets of SDLC life cycle

General Business

Demonstrated success in advising businesses on issues of procurement/staffing operations

Thorough understanding of impact of MSP/recruiting procedures on overall business operations

Ability to quickly understand operational environments and assimilate technical information.

Analyzes holistically complex (people, process, technology) problems in the context of strategic issues and makes recommendations that provide leading-edge direction to others


Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally with senior management regarding project progress and recommended approach

Recognized as a dynamic communicator who consistently conveys all pertinent information to the appropriate party.

Maintains active listening skills through summarizing and responding appropriately to information received

Demonstrated ability to produce formal written documents (deliverables, presentations, project status reports) for both internal and external audiences

Ability to present to mid to large size groups effectively using visual aids (e.g. overheads, slides, hand-outs).

Required Experience

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Research or Information Technology.

Required: 3-5 years of consulting experience preferably with a Big 5, or System Integrator firm

Desired: 2-3 years of progressive operational experience in procurement, recruiting, help desk or data center preferably in a Fortune 1000
