The Senior Content Analyst works closely with all project teams to provide content strategies and plays an integral role in the development of client Web sites by analyzing, recommending, managing, generating and distributing site content. A professional communicator capable of grasping communication challenges and devising solutions, the analyst has a well-rounded knowledge of the Web, as well as thorough familiarity with leading trends in usability, search engine optimization, content marketing and publishing. As a usability expert, the analyst will be deeply involved in the content development process from outset to completion.

The Sr. Content Analyst also serves as the discipline lead and will help draft estimates, scope new work and contribute to new business pitches.

Responsibilities:

· Analyzing and assessing client’s digital content across all channels (site, social, email, etc.)

· Building strategies for developing, implementing and managing compelling and well-organized content based on a thorough understanding of business objectives, user needs and industry best practices

· Drafting content publication and migration workflows

· Creating, re-purposing and potentially writing Web site content

· Producing content classification and tagging systems

· Collaborating with Creative Team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction (to be executed by copywriters) of online initiatives

· Collaborating on site navigation and content organization

· Developing and sharing expertise on client products and services

· Collaborating on content and site navigation labels

· Interacting with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics

· Collaborating with team members, including SEO specialists, to determine a search engine optimization project plan

· Conducting keyword research and analyses

· Making recommendations based on search engine optimization campaign analytics: rankings, traffic and revenue

Required Skills:

· A degree or diploma in English, journalism, communications, library sciences or a related field

· Background in researching, writing, publishing and some project management

· Minimum 4 years of Marketing/Communications experience in a Web-focused company or agency

· Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for varied projects with diverse audiences

· Detail orientated and attentive proofreader

· Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

· Understanding of content management systems and strategies

· Proficient in the use of MS Office, Visio and Internet browsers

· Experience in researching keyword phrases

· Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex or demanding subject matter, either verbally or in written form

· Ability to work both independently and contribute as part of a production team

· Familiarity with search engine marketing practices including organic search, paid listings and paid inclusion

· Ability to contribute to and support search strategies to improve search engine rankings while still providing compelling information for visitors

· B2B and B2C experience
