Position Summary:
Provide administrative support to VP of Discovery Chemistry and department (40+ FTEs).

Key Responsibilities:
Provide clerical support to VP Discovery Chemistry, senior staff, including correspondence, travel, meeting planning, daily planner (VP), expense reports, and PO/SOW/MSA/CDA document generation.
Administrative support to Discovery departments, including assistance with slide/poster/manuscript preparation, distribution of meeting materials, and coordination of meetings.
Work in a team-oriented environment with other department coordinators.
Responsible for coordinating orientation program (scheduling interviews to date of hire) of new employees.
Provide expert technical assistance to department staff.
Responsible for ordering and distributing department office supplies.
Assists in the development and maintenance of department central files.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access (desirable).
The ability to manage several projects simultaneously is essential.
Partner with area colleges/universities, Discovery team members, and Human Resources on the annual fall Campus Recruitment Program.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:
HS plus 7 years related experience, or
AS Degree plus 5 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree
7-9 year administrative experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or equivalent.
