The key purpose of this
position is to perform administrative and paralegal functions in the Trademark
& Immigration Department with an emphasis on developing Trademark
The Senior Coordinator,
Trademark and Immigration will be involved at various levels with all processes
and activities relating to the operation of the department, comprised of the VP
and a dedicated Immigration resource.
The department manages both trademark and US inbound immigration functions
for all divisions of SPE worldwide.
(40%) Trademark clearance and administrative work:
performs trademark pre-clearance searches, including online
trademark databases and general internet searches
proof of use and other data collection
legal document processing and correspondence
physical file maintenance
(30%) Immigration support:
track individual case progress
maintain physical and digital case files
field case-related calls
work with SharePoint site immigration database
(30%) Administrative support, including SAP invoice coding
and Ariba check requests for government filing and other fees.
Provide other administrative support to group Vice
President (phone, calendar, expense reports, etc.) and other team member as
needed. Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track various department
Create accurate and complete files, including
supervision and maintenance of Company’s central trademark files.
Represent SPE in a professional manner to internal and
external contacts, e.g. law firms, business and legal affairs departments in-and-outside
of SPE, production office personnel, agencies and representatives, etc.
Perform multiple tasks, prioritize workload
independently, and work autonomously within scope of job responsibilities

experience, ideally in a research, writing, or clerical/administrative
familiarity is a plus
Paralegal certificate a plus.
