Vail Resorts' retail and rental operations are conducted through Specialty Sports Venture (SSV), a majority owned subsidiary. SSV operates over 160 year-round and seasonal stores under 40 + retail brand names specializing in ski, bike, golf and fly fishing products and gear. We operate in world-class locations such as Aspen, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Telluride, Park City, Vail, Lake Tahoe, Denver’s Front Range and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Job Summary: This person will work closely with the Senior Sales & Marketing Manager Advertising Manager coordinating and executing advertising and promotions. They will also be responsible for the trafficking advertising projects from inception to completion. This position will provide support for both internal and external promotions including coordination of internal resources and outside vendors. This candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent organizational skills. Requires knowledge of MS office, including Excel and PowerPoint. This person must be able to work effectively in a fast paced multi-brand retail environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Event Promotional development and store-level execution and communication.
Daily coordination, execution, proofing and communication of all media for in-house advertising and promotions department.
Daily trafficking of projects for several SSV brands including newspaper, print, direct mail, TV, Radio, e-mail and websites.
Coordinates all necessary content from internal resources, works with graphic design team to develop ad, proofs and routes ads for approvals.
Maintains budgets and finalizes month end financials with Sr. Marketing Manager
Print Production Coordination for all media as required.
Manage outside vendors and partnerships
Oversee and process all donation requests through appropriate channels
Responsible for tracking and reporting on weekly promotions for each brand utilizing a marketing “dashboard”
Weekly reporting duties for customer capture at point of sale.
Work several (up to 6 annually) weekend retail events as assigned
Other administrative duties assigned
Job Qualifications:
3 years of experience with advertising and marketing
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
College degree
English fluency
