This is a mid level management position responsible for coordinating the licensing and certification requirements and contracts for 268 residents and onboarding process for all incoming residents.
Bachelor's degree in business, education or related field or equivalent work experience.

Initiate and annually obtain the post graduate training permit and/or Kansas full license for residents. Review all documents submitted to the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts and agencies in other states as required for completeness, accuracy and timeliness. Stay current with all complex state and federal regulations regarding physician licensing, DEA numbers and medical board exams required by WCGME contracts.
Issue annual resident contracts and letters of offer. Determine the date for contract renewal and coordinate the process with program directors, WCGME and residents.
Create and maintain individual employment files for all residents. Gather, analyze and communicate data to the office of Student Records in Kansas City to enroll residents in the University of Kansas. Review Kansas City data for accuracy on an ongoing basis.

Manage the issuing of certificates of completion assuring accuracy and receipt in a timely manner to Wichita residents upon satisfactory completion of at least six months of residency.
Provide and assure that hospital partners have necessary documentation of all residents' required credentials. Responsible for WCGME and Wichita hospital communications regarding credentialing and employment of all residents. Provide primary source verification of all resident physicians employed by WCGME as contracted with the partnering hospitals.
Manage the Delinquent Medical Records Policy and implementation of policy to include tracking, monitoring, reviewing and recommending action for residents who are delinquent in completing their medical records. Work with health information management personnel at Via Christi and Wesley Medical Centers. Provide monthly report for GMEC.

Maintain proficiency with New Innovations residency management software. Upload required documents needed for hospital medicare billing and accreditation requirements in New Innovations.
Manage moonlighting process. Obtain appropriate forms from residents and submit to Kansas City for EVC approval.
Ensure that all residents maintain ACLS/BLS/PALS/ATLS certifications as required. Submit invoices for certification for payment. Provide verifications of certification to hospitals and other partners.
Audit resident files to ensure completeness and certifications to prepare list of pay increase holds for Accountant.

Serve as an ombudsman to residents who have filed a grievance under the Grievance Procedure or to residents who need an advocate at an educational progress or other meeting with program directors or others.
Develop and supervise terminating resident process. Determine calendar, set deadlines for completion of tasks, coordinate staff members' work, and send letters to residents, coordinators, and program directors.
Develop and implement a coordinated social media.
Development of bi-weekly newsletters to incoming residents highlighting Wichita, training at KUSM-W, and other important information.
