We are looking for a Senior Copywriter with at least 7 years of experience in an agency environment, writing for the retail space across multiple media, with an emphasis in digital, specifically rich media banners and mobile. A portfolio showing work for a big-box store is a major plus.
Lead creative development of concepts and develop copy for client projects across a range of media, specifically digital (rich media).
Attend all briefs, internal reviews and status meetings for projects.
Actively participate and listen to feedback for integration of brief requirements.
Work with producers and account teams to make sure all project mandatories and schedules are adhered to thoroughly.
Contribute to agency knowledge bank by sharing, staying abreast of and honing best practices in writing and communications, especially in the retail space.
Develop concepts, scripts, storyboards; collaborating with other departments as needed.
Be responsible for original concepts; for clear, concise and convincing writing; for grammatical and material accuracy.
See work through to its final production under the direction, and with the approval, of their Creative Director or the ECD.
Work productively and harmoniously as a teammate with Art Directors, Designers, Production Artists and Producers who share the responsibility on the given assignment.
Comply to quality standards for the team as set forth by the department.
Work with supervisor to foster innovative solutions.
Revise work based on client comments and shares their recommendations with their Creative Director or the ECD before sharing with account team or client.
Keep supervisor, Account and Producer teams apprised of the status of work and bandwidth.
Pitches in on brainstorming and as a sounding board for colleagues’ ideas.
7 years of experience as a copywriter in agency environment, working on retail accounts
Can churn out taglines as well as longer-form marketing copywriting as needed
Committed to quality, service, and efficiency
A self-starter and a fast learner
Show diplomacy, flexibility, and grace under pressure
Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels of a business
Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite required
Familiarity with the print, broadcast and digital (online) production processes a plus
BA/BS in communications-related major or related work experience desired
Portfolio that shows relevant marketing/advertising experience and creative acumen
