What's next in the world of social networks?
ProjectUplift is building the world's first social economy . What's a social economy? A social economy is taking the best of what you love about your favorite social network and allowing you the opportunity to monetize your time while you're there. It could be blogging about your passion, selling goods and services or using your expertise to help someone else become successful. We are building a platform that will enable the community to help itself through crowd-sourcing the expertise in the community. We will empower the commnity to help each other so that everybody wins.
How do I find out more?
Well, we can't tell you too much right now. We're currently in beta so we have purposfully avoided marketing. That's going to change in 2013 later in the year when we come out of beta and go live. Until then the best place to see what we're up to is our launch page ( uplift.launchrock.com ). What is ProjectUplift looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our talent acquisition team. While we are hiring across the board given we're a technology company the bulk of our hires will be technical in nature. While you don't have to come into ProjectUplift knowing how to interview a C# engineer you will be responsible for sourcing, pitching, interviewing and qualifying engineering talent with the help of our team. Since the best talent is likely busy doing their "day jobs" you will have to employ aggressive and creative sourcing strategies to get recruit the right people. We are a start-up so if you're used to spending the majority of your time mining and internal database this definitely isn't the role for you.
The recruiters on our team are responsible for running a full-desk. From the intial kick-off with the hiring manager through the offer and acceptance stage everything will go through the Senior Recruiter for their assigned positions. As we won't settle for "average" your success will be predicated on your ability to bring great talent to the table. Our leadership team believes that our success as a company will be governed by the quality of talent that we attract. As such there is a high degree of urgency, a high bar for talent and exceptionally high expectations around the talent acquisition function.
What experience should I bring to the table?

- Bachelors degree required
- 3-10 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, etc.
- Agency experience preferred
- Ability to creative source talent through non-traditional sources
- Compensation package negotiation (including equity)
- Ability to identify and recommend changes to streamline the recruiting process
- Experience in cold-calling passive candidates
- Ability to self-manage their daily activities to drive a pipeline of great candidates

Our headquarters are in downtown San Diego. If you're a great candidate, but not in San Diego we are happy to help you relocate.
