Engineered Glazing Systems (EGS) is an operating division of Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Inc. (OBE) with approximately $150M of annual revenue. The Terrell, TX location of EGS is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant. This position will report to the Cost Accounting Manager and work closely with operations and senior management.

The project and financial information resides on multiple systems and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the information in those systems. There may be some involvement in the ERP upgrade to the new version of Epicor.

The qualifications and additional responsibilities of this position are detailed below.


Accounting degree

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel

Strong Interpersonal skills and positive attitude

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Solid time management and organizational skills

Attention to detail and a strong work ethic

Flexibility in work hours during peak times

Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency

Sales & Use Tax experience is an asset

Willingness to travel (minimal)


Adhere to OBE Safety regulations

Assist in all aspects of month end closing

Analyze project costs on manufactured jobs

Review and reconcile job WIP reports

Preparation of various production and sales reports

Manage the sales and use tax functions

Assist Internal and External Auditors with information requests as needed

Assist in annual budget preparation

Prepare weekly and monthly departmental metrics

Preparation of ad-hoc reports and analysis on request

Assist and back up department clerical staff as needed

Assist in bi-annual physical inventory process (travel required)

Other duties as required
