Senior Cost Accountant –Spring, TX CDC Houston, Inc. Subsidiary of Coventry Development Corp
CDC Houston, Inc a subsidiary of Coventry Development Corporation of NY is the primary asset manager for multiple Master Planned Communities located in Denver, CO and Houston, TX as well as multiple land developments throughout the Houston area. This newly created position located in our Spring, TX office will report to the CFO and Controller:

  • Monitor Construction progress and monthly pay applications for construction projects
  • Maintain paperless AP system for construction projects
  • Monitor all consultant proposals and invoicing for construction projects
  • Preparation of monthly variance analysis
  • Preparation of Work In Progress schedules as well as job cost reporting on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of financial projections and valuation analysis
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and workpapers
  • Preparation of annual budgets and assist with annual audits
  • Involvement in municipal financing strategy and planning
  • Involvement in preparation of Municipal Bond Applications for Developer reimbursements


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required with a minimum of 3 years experience CPA a plus
  • Understanding of basic financial modeling and valuation terms, concepts and methodologies
  • Ability to prepare complete set of financial statements
  • Computer proficiency with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Yardi
  • Excellent proven communication skills
  • Ability to combine creative thought with analytical thought
  • Ability to function without daily oversight so the candidate must be focused and possess the ability to self-manage
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple assignments and take on additional responsibility quickly
  • Work well as part of a team and take ownership of projects
