The Senior Customer Experience Manager will work under the direction of the Madison Avenue flagship store General Manager, to maintain a customer service and client focused environment through implementation of all aspects of our Barneys New York specific Customer Experience and Selling Techniques training module . The Senior Manager of Customer Experience is responsible for driving sales and enhancing the customer experience through education, influence and coaching of store associates.
Cultivate a service and client focused environment by analyzing the needs of the client and working diligently to meet and exceed client expectations Provide courteous guest services by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries regarding any service or product concern, requests and/or challenges from internal and external clients Provide feedback on existing client based programs, inclusive of My Barneys Bag, Customer Profile System (CPS) and Barneys New York Credit, etc. to assist in building added value to the shopping experience Collect and report performance results and client feedback to business partners Perform analysis and research of data to anticipate and understand the customer needs Source product in Madison Avenue flagship as well as other stores and via web to meet the needs of the client presented at the Customer Service desk Ensure that security and privacy of customer information is maintained through education, compliance and disposition of issues Work in partnership with Corporate Marketing department to gather customer lists for in-store events and promotions Train and develop all store associates on processes, tools and technological initiatives to enhance the customer experience and drive sales Act as subject matter expert and develop modules and best practices to enhance the Barneys New York Customer Experience and facilitate sales
Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 4 years of experience in customer service experience, customer relations and/or training, logistics, data collection Familiarity with luxury clothing and apparel terminology desirable Luxury competitor marketplace knowledge desirable Previous retail and sales/merchandising experience, ideally within the luxury market Previous use of customer management systems desirable Knowledge of selling techniques and merchandise package Strong logistical and analytical skills Ability to multi ‐ task and consistently meet deadlines Ability to work effectively with diverse teams at all levels of organization Excellent problem solving skills Ability to understand consumer behavior and provide effective feedback Proficiency in multiple operating systems such as MS Windows Experience leading projects or initiatives a plus Superior oral and written communication skills
