About Us: Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union is a community chartered Credit Union who serves anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attend school in Nassau County. We are seeking an individual with financial institution experience to originate, underwrite, decision and process, and consumer and real estate loans (1-3 years exp). Must be sales and customer service oriented.
This position requires the ability to: Perform underwriting function on consumer and real estate loan products and render a credit decision. Provide efficient and concise explanation of credit unions lending products and services to our members. Originate, underwrite, process and complete equity funding packages. Review home equity files for completeness including verification of proper documents to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and accuracy of HMDA reportable requirements Provide feedback and follow-up on home equity loan proceed disbursements, including but not limited to loan proceed settlement and any applicable refunds, to ensure file is complete and within the departments turn around time standards. Provide coaching, mentoring and assistance to the Customer Services Representatives in the Call Center Communicate, and provide feedback with third party vendors such as dealers, credit bureau agencies, title companies, other institutions and businesses as needed. 7. Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive and technology environments, which may affect Real Estate and consumer lending programs. Process new accounts, obtaining proper documentation, and all new account verification. Distributing appropriate disclosures to comply with regulatory guidelines. Process account inquiries, address changes, closing accounts, and account maintenance requests as directed by members within credit union policies and procedures Required to perform supervisory functions daily as well as in the absence of the manager.
