The Senior Database Marketing Analyst provides support for the information and analytical needs of the Marketing Database department of Wyndham Vacation Ownership through the application of data mining, profiling, segmentation, statistical measurements, report generation, response tracking and other strategic ad hoc analysis.

The work performed by the Senior Database Marketing Analyst will lead directly to lowering customer acquisition costs, improving sales force productivity, and enhancing the integration of database marketing concepts and techniques throughout the broader marketing organization.

Candidates must have extensive Oracle SQL querying skills and the business acumen to strategically extract data from our databases (primarily Oracle) and translate it into meaningful analyses, reports and recommendations.

The position requires at least 5 years experience in Marketing Analysis or Business Analysis, preferably as a Database Marketing Analyst. You must also have proven documentation skills, at least 3 years of experience with large Oracle relational databases and knowledge of Oracle SQL querying tools such as SQL*Plus, SQL Navigator Toad, and/or Business Objects Designer and Reporter. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and understanding of data manipulation and aggregation to facilitate a flexible reporting environment to assist senior leadership in the development of future strategies. Well-suited would be someone with a data warehousing background that excels at developing marketing and financial reports.

BS Degree in a business or mathematics discipline (i.e. Marketing, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis).
MBA is highly desirable.

Knowledge and skills

Ability to work with a variety of external team members in supporting their data retrieval and reporting needs.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Microsoft Access skills highly desired.
Experience using Geo-Demographic analytical software such as MapInfo, MapMarker, TargetPro highly desired.
Excellent oral and written communication, with proven experience in the creation and revision of technical process documentation
Job Experience

Experience as Marketing Analyst or Business Analyst, preferably as Database Marketing Analyst (5 years).
Experience in data manipulation and reporting using Oracle SQL querying tools such as Oracle SQL*Plus, SQL Navigator, Toad, Business Objects Designer and Reporter (3 years).
Experience with large Oracle (10g preferred) relational databases (3 years).
Experience extracting data from multiple source systems and translating this data into meaningful analyses, reports and recommendations (3 years).
