Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Functions as the Information Technology (IT) Manager for all local campus requirements to include Basic IT needs, Network Engineering, and Systems Engineering
• Duties include providing fiscal and production control as well as administrative and technical direction.
• Responsibilities include implementation planning, technical writing, schedule management and estimating, project documentation, requirements definition and configuration management, contract coordination and administration of all IT projects.
• Direct oversight of multiple technology projects in the areas of Network Engineering, Software Development, Systems Engineering and Network Deployment.
Coordination of procurement, and risk management activities for multiple programs including purchasing/procurement, property management, and reporting.
• Manages, administers, directs, or implements policies and procedures on all projects and overhead activities.
Establish and implement processes for effective management of resources to support both routine and new requirements
• Establish and implement processes to ensure quality and timeliness of services and deliverables
• Establish and implement processes to effectively manage various IT projects and mitigate risks
• Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software
• Analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic test on operating system and hardware to detect problems
• Support connectivity with other domains
• Initiate preventive maintenance on the operation system as well as be capable of repairing system/environment problems
• Conduct performance monitoring and tuning
• Experience with Cisco Unified Provisioning Manager (CUPM)

Job Requirements:

• 4+ Customer service and Help Desk experience.
• 4+ Experience managing Help Desk personnel including network engineers and systems engineers
• Experience with Server, Desktop, Mobile, Printing technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.
• Experience with Unix and other *inx distributions like: MAC OS, REHL, CentOS, Ubuntu 10.
• Experience with common Office Automation software and technology.
• Experience with IP networking, firewalls, routing, and WAN technologies.
• Experience with VTC systems, MCUs and Bridges.
• Experience with Data Center operations and power and cooling.
• Experience authoring whitepapers, design documents, and operations documents.
• Experience developing and managing KPIs.
• Ability to provide senior technical guidance, coaching and mentoring.

Desired Skills:

• Minimum ITIL® Foundations certification
• Understanding of Virtualization technologies to include: VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, and others
• Understanding of Storage technologies and protocols to include: SAN\NAS, FC, iSCSI, FCoE.
• Understanding of DoD and or National Agency IA security policies, controls, and documentation

Education Requirements:
Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.

Clearance Requirements: Requires a minimum of an ACTIVE US GOVERNMENT TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE
