This position is responsible for the development of detailed engineering packages in support of telecommunications equipment deployments in central office, MSO and CLEC environments. The ideal candidate will have sufficient technical expertise to prepare competitive bid packages for customer requests for pricing (RFP) based on review of technical documentation and completion of a site survey of the customer’s facility. Other responsibilities include developing an accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), preparation of installation specifications, updating customer records / databases providing technical support to customer and field installation personnel
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a detail engineering role. 2+ years of detail engineering experience combined with 5 or more years’ experience in installation / testing also acceptable.
Must be capable of performing site surveys to define project specifics.
Must be capable of preparing a Bill of Materials, capturing all hardware and cabling required for a given project with respect to customer installation standards and manufacturer recommendations.
Must be capable of preparing a competitive bid in response to customer Requests for Pricing (RFP), including the ability to research new products and capture the specific requirements and associated costs of that product in the customer’s required timeline.
Responsible for the preparation of an installation specification, meeting customer requirements of that documentation as applicable.
Must be computer fluent, with experience utilizing Microsoft Excel /AutoCAD / Visio
Must possess strong organizational and management skills.
Must have a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
Must be capable of establishing and meeting deadlines.
Must be capable of providing technical support to customer and field installation personnel.
Must be capable of performing job cost analysis for in process and completed projects. Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
Position can be located in home office or nearest CHR office
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
A minimum of 5 years’ experience or equivalent as determined by CHR Solutions.
Experience with customer specific engineering standards, installation standards and business processes would be beneficial

Capable of travel to support projects, approximately 25%.
