The Senior Digital Analyst helps to inform marketing strategies and develop actionable insights through quantitative analysis, the use of research tools, statistical methods, and innovative thinking while participate in cross-functional teams. He/she contributes to the delivery of smart marketing and creative strategy through knowledge of data, research, and customer insight.
Production of campaign reports and analysis, specifically direct marketing such as online display, email, site analytics, search, and social media.
Develop observations and insights around campaign results for optimization of media campaigns or other direct marketing campaigns
Presentation of insights and associated recommendations to internal and external clients
Development of strategic M&A plans: explicitly defining what is to be learned, what will be measured, how it will be measured, frequency of measurement
Strategic test design using single variable, complete or fractional factorial matrix
Develop ROI pro forma business case projections to set expectations for campaign performance
Ad hoc analysis and data mining assignments dealing with large datasets (Access, SAS, Excel)
Consolidation of reports across similar campaigns
Identification of opportunities to automate any/all analysis and identify processes for efficiencies
Develop innovations or work in a team to create innovations in reporting, BI, and Analysis for “packaging” and “codifying” analytical RAPP products
2-5 years experience working with data and utilizing quantitative techniques to solve marketing or business problems, such as campaign analysis, program optimization, customer segmentation, and predictive modeling.
Strong knowledge of Omniture, Google Analytics, and other digital analytics tools.
Expert knowledge of marketing mathematical tools and methods, direct marketing test and learn plans, ROI and Pro Forma development
Strong knowledge of direct marketing metrics especially emerging media metrics and technology behind them
Strong knowledge of digital analytics and site analytics and the technology that goes with the use and implementation of site analytics tools
Working knowledge of databases and structure
Working knowledge of statistical methods and tools
Knowledge of direct marketing principles and best in class methodologies
Some knowledge of database marketing principles
Strong analytical/ mathematical skill
Strong communication and presentation skills
MS Excel expertise – logical functions, lookups, pivot tables, external source data, dynamic charts and tables, editing and writing macros, VBA.
Must be expert in MS office
Working capabilities in SQL, SAS and/or Access a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, Marketing, Social Science or other related field of study required; Master’s degree (in Statistics, Social Science Research, Economics, or Quantitative Marketing) preferred
