Reporting to the CIO this position will oversee global IT infrastructure services and related teams, standards and initiatives including: data center operations, physical and virtual server environments, databases, storage and backup; server and desktop hardware and operating systems; wireless, local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN); email, VOIP and telecommunication systems; NOC and Helpdesk functions. Direct reports to include the senior IT Infrastructure managers having responsibility for the Americas and EMEA respectively.

Will also assist in managing our global information technology operations and infrastructures with focus on insuring for effective service delivery/scaling, high quality and availability through planning. Additionally this role will help drive the identification, definition and implementation of IT standards and processes needed to achieve company compliance, audit and reporting requirements.
Job Details:
  • Help drive definition, implementation and maintenance of IT standards, processes and controls necessary to achieve company compliance, audit and reporting requirements
  • Ensure continuous availability and performance of critical business system and infrastructure services through coordination and management of IT teams, processes, initiatives and suppliers
  • Facilitate definition and implementation of IT strategies enabling effective company growth and scaling
  • Coordinate teams and activities in support of large multi-team/cross functional projects
  • Develop IT staff members and organization to meet business requirements
  • Effectively multi-task across multiple projects and monitor and communicate progress to milestones
  • Help drive the documentation and QA of provided information, systems and processes
  • Participate in strategic planning and operational governance of the business organization and processes
  • Help drive IT operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing infrastructure initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization
  • Establish and maintain IT infrastructure team goals, objectives, and operating procedures
  • Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations
  • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, and purchasing
  • Assist in the development and execution of enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Assist in the development, tracking, and control of IT infrastructure operating and capital budgets
  • Review infrastructure hardware, software and service acquisition and maintenance contracts and agreements to capitalize on economies of scale
  • Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of IT infrastructures and processes
  • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices
  • Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of IT infrastructure staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies
  • Act as an advocate for the organization’s IT vision and policies via regular written and in-person communications with company leaders and end users
  • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments and strategies
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
  • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new infrastructure initiatives and projects
  • Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance
  • Approve, prioritize, and monitor IT projects as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major infrastructure initiatives
  • Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or business administration
  • Six plus years experience managing and/or directing an IT operation
  • Two plus years experience working in the software product or cloud service industry preferred
  • Experience in managing multi-site, geographically distributed teams and IT infrastructures
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations
  • Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, networking, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems
  • Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities
  • Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
  • Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles
  • Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT
  • Prior leadership experience developing and maintaining IT controls and standards to meet compliance, audit and reporting requirements as a publicly traded company
  • Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures
