Oversees the maintenance and compliance of technical accounting policies across the global organization by implementing new accounting standards as required; developing accounting training programs related to high risk areas; and monitoring policy compliance on an ongoing basis.
Provides overall direction for accounting policy and controls by analyzing business objectives and Customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business
plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Serves as the Company's technical reviewer of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting by reviewing the Company's public documents(for example, Form 10Q, Form 10K, annual report); and ensuring document compliance with SEC requirements.
Ensures Company Associates are provided technical guidance on the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) by ensuring Associates are educated on current GAAP concepts; evaluating and identifying solutions to technical or routine accounting issues; and researching and providing
input on complex accounting matters.
Monitors and ensures Company accounting standards are current with emerging trends and standards of external governing bodies (for example, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), International Accounting Standards Board (IASB)) by
researching and interpreting new and existing accounting issues and standards impacting Company businesses; and attending conferences and symposiums to keep up-to-date on accounting issues and best practices.
