The role of Senior Director, Systems Engineering provides leadership, senior level program and project level management oversight in the operational, planning and execution of objectives and goals of the Enterprise Server Platform (ESP) team. As the leader and face of the Windows/Linux server platform for the company, this role ensures the team is performing at the needed level to successfully execute the company’s, division's and department's goals. The team is responsible for designing, testing, deploying and maintaining over 7,000 servers, and in addition 2,500 virtual machines across the two platforms as well as providing senior engineering support for major enterprise initiatives. The responsibilities of this role include ensuring essential policies and procedures are followed by the team members as well as external team members defined by the Technology Division. This person interacts with customers across the exchange, which includes, but is not limited to, Enterprise Architecture, Development, Operational and Production Support teams, Enterprise Solutions and Clearing IT. This role is responsible for overseeing the management of the Windows and Linux server fleets and ensuring equipment is procured to specific approved specifications and is responsible for staying within the approved budget for annual capital expenditures. This role also advises coaches and mentors members of team so everyone can achieve and maintain operational excellence and team goals. Additionally, this role is responsible for informing the team of new division and company initiatives and provides the team focus to obtain these goals, by planning the team’s resources and future needs.
Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration. Minimum 10 years technology experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Tools (Excel, Word, Power Point etc.)
