This key Development position serves as the Chief Fundraising Officer by providing direct leadership, management and supervision of professional staff for the Gift Planning Office of the USF Foundation. Develops policy and procedures with broad impact across university development programs; oversees strategy and operations of the department; and cultivates and solicits qualified donors for gifts to all areas within USF. Develop methods for increasing awareness of and interest in planned giving programs with external and internal audiences. Assists with developing and implementing strategies to raise additional major gift funds for the university as a member of the Principal and Leadership Gifts development team.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and seven years of experience related to development.
Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Master's degree or J.D. and seven years of fundraising experience in an institution of higher education. CFRE preferred.
Special Skills/Licenses/Training/Certifications Necessary:
Working knowledge of basic planned giving vehicles and general estate and tax implications on both the donor and the institution. Proficiency in major gift fundraising practices and in marketing and communicating gift planning programs.
