The Network Distribution team at Zynga is looking for a Sr Director / Director of Performance Marketing who will oversee the next generation of player acquisition at Zynga. This role will lead all paid acquisition efforts across web and mobile titles and across all lines of business. This individual will lead a team of 7+ experienced digital marketing professionals and be responsible for paid acquisition strategy, development of technical product pipeline, relationships with studio leaders, and execution of acquisition campaigns to drive growth for new and live IP. Individuals who will be successful in this role will be able to clearly articulate a strategic roadmap to drive performance in the short, medium, and long term, and then build an action plan and execute on a daily basis. The individual will need to be a subject matter expert for Online Advertising Acquisition for Zynga with a bent to quantitative performance leadership. She/he will be responsible for helping the team develop online acquisition strategies, products, spec products with engineering, project manage, troubleshoot and bring projects to fruition. This person will be the main liaison between Performance Marketing, Engineering, and the Studios to help our games meet their objectives. This person is an experienced quantitative online marketer who can manage multiple priorities while delivering best in class execution.

Drive innovation and vision for online advertising

Develop mid to long term business and technical ad product strategy for next generation of acquisition at Zynga

Go 2-3 levels deeper to spec new products, manage the engineering talent, troubleshoot, and ultimately bring new ad products to fruition

Be primary liason between Infrastructure/Engineering and Performance Marketing to ensure that media buying tools and reporting structure are continually advancing

Lead and oversee development of performance plans for newly launched games and help team execute to maximize value to Zynga

Manage Engineering and Analytical talent to help execute priorities

Help team establish process and metrics to monitor and optimize performance of campaigns on an ongoing basis

Assist team in developing campaign test plans and recommendations

Required Skills:
BA Required, MS encouraged but not required

3-5+yrs of online consumer advertising or online media buying experience with a strong track record of measurable results

Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical-thinking skills and experience working in metrics based environments

Strong background of building and delivering ad products & reporting

Experience – and a desire – to do both strategic planning and daily execution/optimization

Outstanding communication and client skills – both written and spoken – to work effectively with our studios
