Position Title: Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer
Location: Carlsbad, CA or Lehi, UT
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
As a part of the Electrical and RF Engineering team, this role is responsible for board-level product design of digital, analog and video board-level consumer products. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in board-level design, layout and test of multi-layer PCB assemblies with specific expertise in high speed digital, audio and/or video consumer or industrial product design.
Position is responsible for board-level design of products implementing various security products utilizing high-speed processors, audio and video circuitry. Position is also responsible for various sensor interface designs, power supplies, battery charging circuits and low-power battery-based designs.
Responsible for design from concept to production. Designs must be implemented for high volume production through statistical or worst case design techniques.
Responsible for Electrical Design Verification Testing (DVT) including digital timing, signal integrity, noise measurements, audio THD, 4-corner testing and design margin verification.
Responsible for vendor evaluation and component selection.
Participate in system design and architectural design tradeoffs.
Document design and test results through use of Specifications, Theory of Ops, design descriptions, design review records, DVT reports and other technical memos as needed.
Interface regularly with other engineering groups (hardware, software, factory, component qualification etc.) and with external component suppliers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
BSEE with 4+ or MSEE with 2+ years of relevant experience as Electrical Design Engineer with specific expertise in RF design.
4+ years of experience in RF board level design, impedance matching, PA, LNA, filters, noise minimization and interference isolation. Should also be experienced in RF characterization and optimization of radio sub-system to achieve best performance, meeting FCC compliance requirements
Must possess hands-on working knowledge of RF and electrical test equipment including experience in HW EDVT, RF bench characterization, RF system DVT, and RF compliance
Experience in high volume product development, DFM, DFT and factory production is preferred.
Working knowledge of 6-sigma or statistical quality tools is highly desired.

Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision, take initiative and work well in a team environment Other Requirements
