We are seeking a team member that is motivated, ambitious, and excited to partake in the growth of our company. The Senior Engineer, Product Development will work primarily on product development within downstream technologies, specifically in mixing and freeze/thaw subject areas. The person in this role will coordinate and monitor product development projects (post-design) through to delivery.
What you can look forward to accomplishing
•Develop design path for downstream technologies.
•Determine and execute design path, including identification of internal/external resources and suppliers, and a test plan.
•Independent execution of projects including estimation and management of time, cost, and internal/external resources
•Will serve as a liaison between research, marketing, and operational departments to identify and meet all stakeholder requirements.
•Will have some supervisory role as team grows
Skills and experience you need to bring to our company Required Skills / Qualifications
•Must have mechanical engineering experience
•Willing to work on broad range of subjects – this position is more of a generalist and a system thinker than a narrow specialist and this person must be comfortable working across disciplines
•Experience with 3D design systems such as Autodesk Inventor is a plus
•Strong written and oral English communication is critical, must be able to interact with internal/suppliers/customers
•Strong team player
•BS/MS mechanical or chemical engineer (aka process engineer) with 5-10 years’ experience
•Experience with consumer devices (R&D hardware machinery)
•Familiar with product development processes – concept, prototype, evaluation, and refinement
•Familiarity with fabrication techniques for stainless or plastic parts is a plus
•Familiarity with fluid dynamics is a requirement; demonstrated experience in design/specification of mixers or pumps is a big plus
•This job will require frequent work in wet laboratory environment
•Some domestic/international travel
