What is expected of you for success in your role:
Conduct functional and para-functional black box testing, at multiple stages of development
Design and execute tests and report results and findings to stakeholders
Understand and assess testing coverage, risk, sufficiency, and limitations.
Work as a team member along side developers, project management, and other stakeholders
Quickly learn an application and understand the end user and other stakeholders needs and values
Isolate bugs and write persuasive bug reports
Understand the mission of testing at each stage of the life cycle, and assess testing needs.
Wisely use the time given for testing, remaining flexible and open to an ever changing environment
Develop an understanding of heuristics, focusing techniques, oracles, and bug investigation
Understand the fundamentals of software testing, development life cycle and the software development process
Discover and learn about test tools that can be used during a project
Leverage prior experience, background, and knowledge in future projects
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
2-4 years related work experience required
Strong verbal and written communications skills
High level of curiosity, creativity, tenacity, and thoughtfulness
High level of problem solving and troubleshooting ability
Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable when something is unfamiliar or things become uncertain
Willing to learn about software testing and development
Ability to follow and provide instruction as both a team member and individual
Experience installing, configuring Microsoft Windows based systems and applications
Familiar or comfortable with configuring and repairing PC based hardware systems
