Writing software to meet the requirements determined by clinical Requirements Analysts according to best practices and patterns set out by the software architects and team leads
Working collaboratively with software engineers, software quality engineers and others outside the team to create a great product.
Job Family Summary
Software Engineering is responsible for developing, enhancing, and sustaining software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices.
What is expected of you for success in your role
Demonstrates working knowledge of software engineering practices, techniques and processes and basic knowledge of technology trends and domain expertise
Understands and analyzes requirements for a single component
Translates the results of analysis into design by Designing solutions to address a specific requirement
Develop modules with moderate guidance
BS/BA in Computer Science or related field
Experienced and productive software engineer who can mentor others, review code, and help organize a high-performing team. High quality is a must.
Experience with the following technologies would be helpful: XAML, WPF, MVVM, services, stored procedures, LINQ to SQL, SQL Server 2008, C#/.NET (3.5 or higher), threading and .NET parallel programming, patterns and best practices, optimization, LDAP/Active Directory, automated testing, unit tests, system integration, scalability.
The successful candidate needs a deep understanding of those technologies they have experience with. Should be able to explain the “why” behind design decisions, not just know how to apply programming tools.
