Position Title: Senior Engineer

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-6:00 pm

Summary of Duties: Sustain, ramp, and transfer technologies from other GF sites as well as our alliance partners in East Fishkill, NY. Develop and/or optimize the reticle control and inspection processes to meet the overall technology roadmap and device performance requirements for the 40 nm technology node and beyond. Work directly with Dresden engineers on the development of leading edge reticle inspection and control processes in order to meet the 40 nm, 32nm, 28 nm and beyond technology requirements. Understand reticle defectivity causes and work to develop mitigation procedures. Interface with mask makers to ensure reticle specifications are met and that supplier roadmaps meet GF requirements. Support Integration team and Quality organization to ensure reticles meet the qualification and reliability requirements. Participate in troubleshooting taskforces as needed and help develop solutions that prevent recurrence. Support technology insertion in Fab 1 and continue to improve process robustness for high volume manufacturing using statistical tools, Design of Experiment (DOE) techniques, data driven decision making, and systematic problem solving skills. Use lean manufacturing and six sigma processes. Support process and technology transfer from Fab 1 to Fab 8. Install and qualify new tools and process technologies in Malta and select equipment for Fab 8.

Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, or other relevant engineering discipline plus 7 years of experience in the position offered or as an Engineer, Process Engineer, Reticle Engineer, or related occupation. Employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in the listed fields plus 5 years of experience or a Ph.D. in the listed fields plus 3 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience . The position requires in-depth semiconductor process engineering experience in reticle inspection and control processes; minimum of 3 years of experience with DOE techniques and data analysis; demonstrated ability to work within a global matrixed team; demonstrated ability to communicate and work with all levels of the organization and external constituencies; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments and manage tasks simultaneously and react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
