As a key member of the Engineering leadership team for ICS, the Engineering Leader – CAB Electronics will demonstrates leadership in setting and communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the Locomotive CAB Electronics product lines for the global market place.
In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to partner with the Commercial, Project Management and Product Management teams to develop and execute the global engineering strategy while accountable for life cycle execution for all projects within the Locomotive CAB Electronics portfolio. In addition, the Senior Engineering Section Manager will:
Develops a clear Locomotive CAB Electronics engineering strategy to drive maximum growth, profitability and customer satisfaction while partnering with the Commercial, Product Management and Project Management teams
Accountable for life cycle execution for all projects within the Locomotive CAB Electronics product portfolio
Acts as an engineering leader single point of contact for the customer, owning the technical relationship
Visits customer sites as required
Strives to achieve maximum customer satisfaction
Ensures proper response to customer concerns and provides resolution of issues and/or complaints
Advises the Global Engineering General Manager and the Global Engineering Functional Leaders of the status of customer issues, concerns, and/or opportunities
Supports the business by identifying customer needs and life cycle management requirements
Interfaces with product management to identify R&D projects to support the customer base and increase market share.
Co-operates with the engineering functional leaders to share resources and ensure the global workload is managed and resolve situations quickly
Supports functional Engineering Leaders in workforce planning, engineering initiatives, and talent execution
Own and drive financial performance of organization to ensure meeting business goals.
Provides leadership to the Locomotive CAB Electronics ICS Engineering teams in coordination with the Global Engineering Functional Leaders to provide a single communications strategy, and ensure strategic and tactical execution
Responsible for collaborating with commercial team and global functional engineering leaders to drive bids and proposals process
Plans strategically to ensure continued profitable growth of the business by developing engineering opportunities within the existing installed base and identifying and entering new markets
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Leadership position
