The Corporate Engineer Technician works in a team environment with reservoir engineers, geologist, geo- physicists and petro-physicists and assists with analyses, evaluations, report preparation, running economic scenarios and documentation.
Management of data entry, document management, and maintenance of technical department files
Assist with budgeting & planning and acquisitions and divestitures
Research production records, well data, and engineering needs for reservoir engineers
Assist in the generation of economic evaluations and reserve reports
Oversee updates and maintenance of data in Aries software
Creation of OFM (oilfield manager) database
Perform reserves calculations and preliminary analyses for interpretation of data
Assist engineers in the preparation of technical reports, analysis, evaluation and presentations
Assist in installation and maintenance of software and troubleshooting user problems as needed
Provide project support as needed
Conduct business with the highest ethical standards and has decision making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with SM facilities
Other duties as assigned
High School Diploma required; B.S. or Associates degree in technically related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of industry work experience is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to manipulate and interpret data and reports; Experience with Aries, Geographix/PETRA
Demonstrate solid knowledge of specific engineering software systems, terminology and procedures
Ability to create tools necessary to maintain, analyze and extract large amounts of data
Strong analytical, numeric skills, problem solving skills and a high degree of accuracy
Excellent written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in both an independent and collaborative work environment and have exceptional skills in managing multiple demands, including prioritizing deadlines
Shows initiative with team tasks and responsibilities
Basic knowledge of technical/economic evaluations and risk analysis
Ability to provide creative solutions to data maintenance, acquisition processes and financial evaluation
