Summary: Provide senior level analysis and technical expertise within the SH&E department for the environmental discipline. Work with SH&E Department to support plant operations in a hands-on environment to assure compliance with all applicable plant, company, and governmental policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and legislation.

RESPONSIBILITIES of SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER:
Develop, implement, and monitor environmental compliance programs and training to ensure compliance Lead various permitting efforts to meet regulatory requirements by preparing applications, calculations and negotiating permit conditions Assist in the preparation of environmental reports for various governmental agencies; track and monitor existing and pending regulations Make recommendations and provide regulatory interpretation and technical evaluation and provide regular communication to the SH&E Manager and all levels of management within the plant regarding environmental issues and performance to ensure the relevant issues are quickly and appropriately addressed

Job Requirements
IDEAL SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER Candidate Will Bring To The Table:

Bachelor degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering plus a minimum of 5+ years of hands on related experience. Experience and knowledge with: Air: Clean Air Act Permit Program (Title V), NESHAP, New Source Permitting and Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEMS) Water: National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System; Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan; Spill, Prevention, Control and Countermeasures; Groundwater Monitoring; Wastewater Treatment Operations RCRA: Hazardous and Universal Waste Management EPCRA: Tier II and Toxic Release Inventory Reporting Environmental Management Systems. Critical Competencies: Strong knowledge of environmental science; demonstrated experience complying with local, Texas and federal regulations; technical practices in monitoring and measuring environmental emissions and compliance. OSHA regulations and safety program involvement and establishing relationships with governmental agencies plus and ability to negotiate with external stakeholders
